    The Farring WhirlWind's handling characteristics are a function of combining 4 wheel, independent, double wishbone suspension with gas pressurized shock absorbers and Acura's unique and progressive valve technology. Variable assist power rack & pinion steering, front and rear stabilizer bars, and 15 inch alloy wheels with P205/60R15 91V speed rated tires all work together to help you get the best feel of the road and to maintain control in adverse situations.

  • ABS anti-lock, 4 wheel disc brakes, dual air bags, energy absorbing monocoque body, side impact door beams, and shift-brake interlock are all part and parcel of the Farring WhirlWind's safety story.

    A STEP UPWARD:

    The Farring WhirlWind Sedan is a step up from the luxurious L model and includes burled walnut splinter resistant console and window trim. Cater to your individual preferences with the 4 way power passenger's seat, heated front seats and automatically adjusting air conditioning.

    The Farring WhirlWind Sedan also comes with premium sound system enhancements, illuminated entry and is pre-wired for a telephone.

    The Power:

    The Farring WhirlWind Sedan is the sport model

  • more powerful engine (230 horsepower)
  • 6 speed manual transmission available
  • 16 inch wheels with larger high performance P215/55 R16 91V rated tires
  • thicker ventilated front brake discs
  • lower final drive gear ratio for improved acceleration
  • Traction control is provided to work with the ABS system in getting the increased power to the ground effectively.

    Model X (4-door) and EX (2-door)

    Design:

  • The 2-door models are slightly shorter in length and wheelbase than the Legend Sedans.
  • The X and EX both have the 230 horsepower engine and the 6 speed manual transmission option of the GS Sedan.
  • The windshield and roofing are more rakish in the EX, resulting in a sleeker look than the X Sedan.

  • The X Model has 15-inch alloy wheels (the EX Model has 16-inch)
  • P205/60 R15 91V rated tires (EX has P205/55 R16 91V
